Old Caz Feb 1st

Hard to believe we’re just a week away and harder still to think this will be the 16th Annual Old Caz Hopper. You can find ride details at Hopper History and essential information at  Rules of Engagement. Please read both of these so you know what you’re signing up for. Cheers. IMG_0505

Ride Details: Old Caz

This is 50 miles of super-eclectic paved and dirt roads in the West County. It is best on a cross bike but can be ridden (carefully) on a road bike with big tires. Or ripping, on a mtb with skinny tires. There are 4 dirt sections: Willow Creek Rd descent +/- 5 miles, Duncan +/-  1 mile climb, Old Caz +/- 3 mile descent, creek crossing and 1 mile climb followed by 1/2 mile descent. Lastly there is the return climb up Willow Creek; also dirt. All other roads are paved from very good to very poor condition.

Ride begins in Occidental, Ca at 10:00 AM and finishes officially atop Willow Creek and you will ride back to Occidental. Please don’t park or send others for you to the finish as there is NO parking. Thanks. Register at Eventbrite. See you there!
